The CTTA Driver Education and Training program is a pillar of our association. Through training and continuous education, drivers are taught the skills needed to keep themselves and the motoring public safe. Our course curriculum is not only extensive, but ever-changing in order to keep up with advances in technology, regulation, and public need. A wide swath of topics are covered, that will not only make for safer drivers but also less damage to equipment and increased proficiency. Classes take place at towing facilities around the state of California in a cooperative effort with our Member companies and Chapters.

You will need to wear your tow company uniform and pants to each class. It is also essential that you wear work boots with a minimum oil resistant sole. For the hand-on portion of the classes you should bring eye protection, hardhat, coveralls, knee pads, and sunglasses.
It is recommended that students attending the Heavy Duty class bring either a 3 axle heavy duty truck-wrecker or a 2 axle medium tow truck-wrecker. You do not need to bring a tow truck to the Light Duty Classes.
